9th International Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis
Rome, Italy
September 16th-20th, 2012
Protein synsthesis, mitochondrial biogenesis, mitochondrial retrograde response, the proteasome and autophagy, are among major intracellular processes that have been first and in more details characterized in yeast. Recent achievements in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell biology have revealed the molecular pathways of programmed cell death in this unicellular eukaryote, increasing the knowledge of cellular processes regulating life and death in probably the most well characterized model organism at the molecular level. The 9th International Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis will bring together investigators from around the world to present and discuss researches employing yeasts as model organisms to study regulated cell death and its role in stress responses, aging and development.
These sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:
Opportunities will be available for oral and poster presentations.
The 9th IMYA will be partially overlapped to the 20th EUROCONFERENCE ON APOPTOSIS (European Cell Death Organization meeting) that will be held in Rome from September 14th to 17th, 2012. IMYA and ECDO will share the sessions through the morning of September 17th.
